Black Sage Carnival was forged through the merger of two great organizations: Scarborough Caribbean Sports Club and Nip Davis & Associates. Celebrating over 35 years in the Toronto Carnival scene, these groups serve as mentors to Corey Howard, band leader of Black Sage Carnival. Since its inauguration in 2008, the family-oriented mas camp has consistently exhibited a showcase of costumes filled with vibrant colours and designs, and has built a solid reputation of “Fun Mas.” Black Sage Carnival maintains the goal of giving new flavour to the parade now known as Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival, one of Toronto’s most well-renowned events.
“SPICE OF LIFE” this year band leader Corey Howard has brought his interpretation of human emotions to life through six band sections which each feature a rich radiant blends of colour as part of costume designs that are guaranteed to make a statement on the road for Scotiabank Toronto Caribbean Carnival.
